Doug Divers was born and raised in Franklin County, Virginia. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from Roanoke College in 1996. Before coming to the Governor's School Doug worked as a software developer for a company in Salem for 3 years and taught Math and Computer Science at William Byrd High School in Roanoke, Virginia for 12 years. He is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Math Education. He and his wife live in Boones Mill with their three children, Luke, Landon, and Loryn. Doug is an avid sports fan and particularly enjoys playing and watching baseball and basketball.
